Sangh impact: Why RSS appears more active in UP compared to 2024 LS polls?

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has stepped up its activities in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections and is working closely with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to the insiders, the organisation’s functionaries appeared more active this time compared to the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Just Assembly elections 2027 is not the sole reason. One important reason is that Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister, has good relations with senior RSS functionaries in the state. Many prant (regions) pracharaks are believed to have personal relations with him. Yogi’s interaction with senior RSS functionaries was more personal than with some BJP functionaries.
