In two months, govt transfers 11 IAS and IPS officers out of Jammu and Kashmir
In a surprising yet very intriguing development, the Union Government has transferred 11 IAS and IPS officers who were posted in Jammu and Kashmir to outside the state. These officers mostly hail from the AGMUT cadre.
Among the officials who were moved out of J&K were Pandurang K Pole (IAS) and Vijay Kumar Bidhuri (IAS) to Delhi, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin (IAS) to Puducherry and Nitesh Rajora (IAS) to Ladakh.
Likewise, IAS officers Ashish Chandra Verma and Anil Kumar Singh both from Delhi have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir.
While whispers in the corridors of power suggest some more transfers in the near future in J & K, observers are trying to read between the lines— Is it cadre balancing? Or something else?
